Traditional Jewish Ceremony
Minou is Iranian and Joshua is Jewish so the couple decided that they would have two ceremonies. The Jewish ceremony took place first under a huppah draped in ivory chiffon and white flowers. After Joshua broke the glass and everyone shouted “Mazel tov,” the bride and groom stepped up onto a stage where the sofreh aghd was laid out. The couple then exchanged vows in a traditional Iranian ceremony officiated by Minou’s great uncle.
