Traditional Indian Jaimala Garlands

“A good friend of ours conducted the traditional Indian garland ritual, the jaimala,” Katy says. “It signifies the uniting of two souls into one. The thread that runs through never leaves the flowers, which represents the bond between us that will last forever, even after the flowers lose their luster.” Their garlands from Hens and Chicks were perfectly wrapped into one another. Katy’s was covered in an intricate design of pink orchids and peonies; Gautam’s included both pink and red dahlias.
