Even after they’d both attended the same elementary school, middle school, and high school in Horsham, all Tracy Kutz knew of Greg Tomlinson was his name. But after a mutual friend introduced them, they started running into each other everywhere: the bar where Greg worked, the local pharmacy, and the restaurant where Tracy was waiting tables at the time. “We knew within the first three weeks that this was going to go somewhere special,” Tracy says. The Bride Tracy Kutz, 30, social worker The Groom Greg Tomlinson, 28, business consultant The Date September 8 After eight months, the couple decided to buy a place together and closed on the house on a cold, snowy night in February. Alone in their new home for the first time, Greg surprised Tracy with an engraved doorknocker that read “The Tomlinsons” and asked her to be his wife. Tracy said yes, and they married eighteen months later in an elegant autumn ceremony.

The all-white bridal bouquet included hydrangeas, a variety of roses, freesia, double bouvardia, and lisianthus. My mom gave me 'something old' to pin to my flowers, says Tracy. It was a gold cross she’d had since she was a little girl.
Tracy’s maids wore strapless, ivory, A-line dresses by Bill Levkoff that were tied with a chocolate-brown, satin sash. “They all looked beautiful and felt comfortable in the dresses too!” Tracy says.
Tracy and Greg exchanged vows before a crowd of family and friends in an old stone church.
Tracy wore a strapless A-line gown accentuated by a simple champagne sash that tied in the back over a row of satin-covered buttons. She accessorized the look with a two-strand pearl choker, pearl stud earrings, and a cathedral-length veil.
Set at a country club, the couple wanted to carry their rustic, chocolate-brown theme through every detail. Branches and seedpods mixed with flowers and chocolate-brown ribbons achieved the look.
The Centerpieces
Two centerpieces were used to give a sense of variety to the reception. Tall branches in glass vases provided height, while a soft mix of roses and greenery made a lovely low centerpiece that guests could converse over.
The maids’ bouquets echoed the bride’s arrangement of all-white flowers, including lisianthus and roses, but also included brown seedpods, sheer brown ribbon, and rustic rope to bring out Tracy's earthy theme.
A four-tiered, square, ivory cake had a ribbon of chocolate icing at the base of each layer and a crown of roses and hydrangeas on top.
