The Reception Decor
The Couple
Tiffany's maids wore black, floor length silk charmeuse dresses by Lazaro that featured a dropped waist and a tiered, A-line skirt.
Tiffany's Carolina Herrera gown featured a silk taffeta sash that extended into its chapel-length train; the champagne color of the sash was picked up in the golden-rose-and-orchid bouquets of her four attendants.
The Reception Decor
Tiffany and Randall exchanged vows in a traditional ceremony at Christ Church Cathedral. Since the couple wasn't allowed to have much decoration inside the historic church, the mood was one of understated elegance (all the better to contrast the design-driven reception to come).
Tiffany worked closely with her florist/event designer, David Brown, who helped with the execution of her ideas. I told him what I had in mind and he pulled it off to a tee! she enthuses.
Dinner was served on a combination of square and rectangular tables. The square tables were topped with square pans filled with wheatgrass; the rectangular tables had centerpieces of square vases filled with red gravel and either a sunflower or a chrysanthemum under water. Finishing off the dramatic decor, a bamboo-leaf motif was projected in red above the dance floor while a bamboo-forest pattern was projected on the curtain.
