In lieu of a traditional tiered cake, the couple served three small tasting cakes—vanilla buttercream, carrot and German chocolate—which were topped with sentimental items. “I used a small alligator head, an air plant, and a cake topper that said ‘Ich liebe dich,’ an ode to the two years we spent living and traveling in Germany together,” Brooke says. The groom’s cake was an AT-AT walker, a nod to Paul’s love of "Star Wars.” “I think the AT-AT was the real crowd-pleaser,” Brooke says.
