This Wedding at Vibiana in Los Angeles Will Have You Dreaming of a Pastel Palette
From a venue with epic architecture to an absolutely dreamy color palette, Albert and Beatrice's California wedding was the epitome of romance. While the wedding took place in Los Angeles, the aesthetic immediately transported guests to a European garden, a design decision inspired by the couple's travels. Beatrice knew she "wanted a soft, blush palette so started planning everything with that foundation in mind. I fell in love with the beautiful gardens in Europe during my travels so really wanted to incorporate that in my wedding. Vibiana was the perfect venue because it has the old, romantic European vibes with a clean white backdrop that matches well with everything. The garden at Vibiana is also really beautiful by itself with a nice California touch. It was great to be able to offer our guests an interesting experience both inside and outside of the venue. We had the best of both worlds and felt like we were transporting our guests back and forth from California to Europe."
Since Vibiana in Los Angeles is so stunning on it's own, the couple was careful to fold in design elements that complemented the space without competing for attention. "I felt like Vibiana was already a beautiful and unique venue, and I didn't want to have too much distracting decor so flowers became my main focus. I wanted the flowers to really complement the venue and create a romantic vibe. My favorite flowers are peonies and roses, and my favorite colors are pink and white. So it was really easy to pick out the flowers and Hannah, my florist, did a really good job putting everything together. I wanted the decor to look organic, soft, and romantic, and Hannah made my vision come true perfectly," Beatrice says.
Food and family were two of the couple's favorite pillars of their wedding day. "Albert and I both love eating Shin ramen after a night of drinking so we decided to serve it as a late-night snack. It was such a hit! We both love desserts so had a full dessert bar with 6 different types of desserts in addition to our wedding cake. Vibiana is not only a gorgeous venue but also has amazing food as it is owned by Chef Neal Fraser. Everything was so fresh and delicious," Beatrice shares. The bride goes on to say that her mother "passed away 5 years ago so it was really hard not having her there on my wedding day. But I was happy to be able to put up a memory table with pictures of her and share them with my guests. It felt like she was there celebrating with us. Some of our favorite parts of the wedding were the speeches, my dad singing my late mom's favorite song, and just dancing with all of our loved ones and seeing how much fun they were having. It was so great seeing some of our family members dance for the first time."
Looking back fondly on the wedding day, Beatrice had this advice to impart to current to-be-weds: "Don't sweat the small things and get a day of coordinator. I am extremely detail-oriented and since I planned the wedding up until 2 weeks prior, I was really nervous about every little detail. But the day goes by so quickly and as long as you and your guests are having a great time, nothing else really matters that much. It's really important to just enjoy yourself and not be upset with little things that no one really notices. I am extremely grateful for my coordinator, Eric, who executed the wedding perfectly. I did not feel stressed out at all because he took care of everything, small or big."
