This Wedding at HammerSky Vineyards in Paso Robles, California, Included a Baby Announcement
Tandya and Jonathan's wedding was special for more reasons than one. In addition to honoring their new marriage, it was also a celebration of their growing family as the couple used the occasion to share their pregnancy with loved ones. While the event took place in Paso Robles, California, at HammerSky Vineyards, guest came from as far away as the United Kingdom and Argentina for the elegant vineyard soiree. And the inspiration for the big day was just as far-flung—European influences informed the couple's wedding aesthetic. "The inspiration behind our wedding day was the beautiful vineyards in the South of France and Tuscany, Italy," says Tandya. "We wanted to create a European vineyard escape, in California. We were able to do just that at the stunning Hammersky Vineyards in Paso Robles, California. The theme of our wedding was traditional and classic romance. The color palette of our wedding was white, with green foliage and trickles of gold."
A vow exchange under a towering tree while a harpist serenaded guests started off the couple's gorgeous wedding. "Our ceremony had gorgeous blooms at the entrance, rows lined with French-inspired cross-back chairs, and flower petals lined the aisle," says Tandya. "The French theme continued from the ceremony to the reception. Our reception was light and airy. White linens were on every table, we had a gorgeous floral runner at the head table, guests were greeted with a glass of champagne, French-inspired sofas allowed guests to lounge, and gold accents could be found throughout."
During the wedding reception, Tandya and Jonathan surprised guests by announcing their pregnancy and having a gender reveal with a smoke bomb. "One of our favorite parts about our wedding was our gender reveal," says Tandya. "After our first two canceled weddings in 2020, it was so nice to be able to finally have our day with a special guest, our future son. The whole day was a special moment for us. Our original wedding was scheduled for May 30, 2020, and we had to cancel one month prior. With so much uncertainty in the last year, we were so happy to finally have the day to celebrate with family and friends."
