This Wedding in Irvine, California, Will Make You Fall in Love with Neutrals All Over Again
For Stella Lee and Edward Hsu's wedding at Oak Creek Gold Club in Irvine, California, a crisp and clean neutral palette set the tone for the day. "Clean, white and chic was what we really wanted for the wedding," Stella says. "We wanted to make sure we weren’t leaning too much into trends so our wedding would feel timeless when we looked back at photos." In keeping with the all-white theme, the florals included roses and baby's breath. Lush draping in the reception tent, paired with sleek menus and acrylic details, further enhanced the crisp vibe of the day. While the couple sought to keep their wedding classic and timeless, they still made sure the celebration was filled with personal and creative details. "One of the elements that I personally made sure we had were our strawberry mochi treats as 'escort cards.' Anyone who knows me well, knows that I have always been obsessed with these desserts. I made it a point to make sure every single guest had one to enjoy," says Stella. As for advice for other to-be-weds, the couple had this to share: "On your wedding day, you won’t even notice if something goes wrong or if something minor didn’t happen the way you want it to because there is a lot going on so don’t stress too much for day of shenanigans! When going through your invitations list, if there are people you can’t invite, remember not to get too caught up with how other people will feel if they don’t get invited. This is such a special day in your life, they should respect your decisions. At the end of the day, you’re getting married to your best friend and that’s what is important—don’t forget that."
