This Couple Threw a Colorful New Year's Eve Bash for Their Wedding at The Saguaro in Palm Springs
Natasha and Seth did NYE one better by ringing in the new year with the ultimate bash: their wedding. “Getting married on New Year’s Eve meant there was already a fun layer to our day,” Natasha says. “I love decorating for holidays, so this was a dream.” The couple added even more color to the already vibrant Saguaro Palm Springs with DIY touches, including the menus, as well as glitter, a quirky funfetti cake and a ceremony backdrop reading, “Here’s looking at you, kid,” a nod to Seth’s fave movie, Casablanca.
“The party was in a stark, white room, so I treated it as a blank canvas,” Natasha says. Hanging greenery, giant balloons and a disco ball added major sparkle to the otherwise minimal space. The pair’s maximalist color palette matched the spirit of the high-energy holiday. “I came across tubes of confetti and decided no color was o limits,” Natasha says. “Anywhere we could put confetti, we did. It was as if my Pinterest exploded.”
Natasha and Seth’s siblings served as their wedding party, all dressed up in their own eye-catching looks. “Since Seth and I got to express our personalities with our clothes, it was important we gave them the chance to do the same,” Natasha says. Each guest got a heart-shaped mini-piñata, complete with name tags designed by Natasha. Glittery noisemakers and confetti firecrackers topped colorful illustrated menus.
