McKenna and Patrick decked the halls during the most wonderful time of the year, swapping vows and sealing the deal with a kiss (no mistletoe needed). As for the details, the Christmas aficionados invited 200 guests to join them in celebrating their marriage during the winter solstice on December 21. A gingerbread house card box echoed the arch the pair kissed beneath while students at Miami University (a ritual that promises a lifelong union). Two pine cones—one wearing a hat and one wearing a veil—stood atop the couple’s three-tier cake, which was covered in snowy white and dotted with greenery and sugared cranberries. Additionally, wood tables were decorated with evergreen garlands, white roses and votive candles, allowing the festive plaid napkins to pop. “We had evergreens in my yard growing up, so they’ve always been my favorite,” McKenna says. Instead of a guest book, the pair asked loved ones to sign a pair of skis, which they now use as décor.
