This Couple Chose a Soft Apricot Palette for Their Wedding at Cordiano Winery in Escondido, California

Haley and Armin tied the knot with a romantic apricot-hued wedding at Cordiano Winery in Escondido, California, near San Diego. "Our wedding was an intimate gathering that came together in a matter of a few months," recalls Haley. "This may sound extremely cheesy, but the inspiration was truthfully just love. My husband and I had to postpone our wedding and so we wanted something intimate and beautiful to represent our special day. I did really want neutral tones amplified with some black accents and bright florals. In the end, it was perfect."

The wedding day began with an indoor wedding ceremony in front of floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the picturesque wine-growing landscape. Given the space's natural beauty, the couple kept ceremony decor to a minimum. "We decorated with basic florals and greenery wrapped around the exposed beams lining the ceiling. I also really love candles so we had a ton of them all around. We used a floral display as the small backdrop for where my husband and I stood for our ceremony. Although we went lighter on the flowers, they were still a major part of the decor and brought a lot of life to the setting. The elegant decor was just the right amount but didn’t distract from the reason we were all there." After saying "I do," the couple and their loved ones enjoyed an alfresco wedding reception against a backdrop of Cordiano Winery's sweeping landscape. A minimal two-tier wedding cake with a fresh flower as a cake topper capped off the evening's menu and complemented the elegant aesthetic of the entire wedding beautifully.

"Now that our wedding day has come and gone, the biggest lesson I’ve learned is to not sweat the small stuff," shares Haley. "There is so much pressure these days to have the coolest and most unique wedding day. I think it’s important to remember that the day is about you and your future spouse, so the font on your invitations isn’t going to matter much. Try to focus on what you and your partner want and don’t let the process of planning a wedding become too stressful. At the end of the day, it’s supposed to be a celebration of love so try not to lose focus of that."
