This Couple Chose a Dreamy Blush-and-Blue Color Palette for Their California Ranch Wedding

Nicole and Andy's wedding in California's Carmel Valley was a celebration of nature in which they intentionally highlighted the beautiful scenery and seasonal blooms the region has to offer. Nicole shares that having grown up in the Bay Area, she always "dreamt of an outdoor wedding when all the flowers are in bloom. When we stepped foot at Holman Ranch, Andy and I immediately knew this was where we were meant to get married. The majority of our family and friends are from out of town so we wanted the wedding to feel like a retreat for our guests." The achieved their intimate, retreat-like vibe by layering in a blush, blue, gray and white color palette into their luxury-meets-rustic wine country vibe. "My vision for the wedding was to feel relaxed, whimsical and sophisticated. We wanted to highlight the beautiful surroundings of Carmel Valley while also bringing in seasonal flowers and linens to lighten the rustic tones at Holman Ranch. Thanks to our amazing vendors, our wedding exceeded all expectations," Nicole says. 

The couple's nuptials began with a ceremony in an open field overlooking the mountains. "To ensure the wedding felt as intimate as possible, we asked our best friend (who introduced us 8 years before) to officiate our wedding and incorporated traditions from both of our cultures into the ceremony and reception." Following the ceremony guests decamped to the reception area where they were greeted by romantic tablescapes filled with velvet napkins, compote centerpieces and gauzy table runners that further enhanced the ethereal aesthetic seen throughout.
