This Boho Rosemary Beach Wedding in Florida Is All About Wildflowers

CeCe Looney (28 and a loan office assistant) and Elliott Marshall (30 and general manager at a fine-dining restaurant) like to keep things fun with color, texture and what CeCe calls “organized chaos.” The pair wanted nothing less for their beachfront “I dos.” First, they decided on casual attire. “I’m not so good in heels, so everyone went barefoot,” CeCe says. Once the wedding party hit land, the groomsmen rocked blue Vans, though “I’m pretty sure most people just kept their shoes off for the reception as well,” CeCe says. Afterward, guests snacked on passed appetizers while listening to live music back on dry land. CeCe and Elliott made their dance floor debut to “Something in the Way She Moves” by James Taylor, accompanied by a groomsman on guitar. At the end of the night, guests brought home snacks including pickle chips and local craft beers.
CeCe and Elliott chose Rosemary Beach because of its meaning to her family. “Both of my sisters got married there as well,” CeCe says.
CeCe’s nieces were the flower girls, and they wore knee-legnth, fringed dresses, which matched her lace gown.
CeCe and her bridesmaids carried loose bundles of vibrant delphinium, craspedia and other colorful wildflowers down the aisle. Bright pink dahlias filled geometric glass vases. “I wanted to do something different from other beach weddings I’d seen, and I really love jewel-tone colors and crazy flowers,” the bride says. After the ceremony, flutes of champagne and fresh pomegranate seeds greeted everyone as they came from the beach. Guests also snacked on mini quesadillas, tacos and Mac and cheese. “Yes, we eat like 5-year-olds,” CeCe says.
To tie in the beach theme, CeCe and Elliott covered the tables in greenery, candles and bright bursts of garden flowers. “We wanted to use a lot of crazy bold prints, flowers and textures,” CeCe says. “I loved mixing it all together.” CeCe and Elliott cut into a cake made of traditional vanilla and carrot cake layers. Instead of a groom’s cake, Elliott chose the carrot cake, his favorite. “It was delicious, so there were no leftovers,” CeCe says. After dessert, guests danced to tunes from Atlantic Party Band.
