This Black-and-Silver-Hued Wedding at the Georgia Freight Depot in Atlanta, Was Pure Glam
Hillaby (a teacher) and Ron (a finance manager) wanted their wedding at the Georgia Freight Depot, "to be very romantic and feel intimate" so they settled on a white-and-silver palette and filled the wedding with an abundance of candle light for added ambience. The couple kept their floral arrangements to all white blooms in an effort to achieve a, "very clean and romantic look," Hillaby shares. To add a dose of personality to their white-and-silver wedding décor, Hillaby and Ron, "personalized our day was with our monogram. We had a monogram designed by a graphic designer and we used it on our save the date, dance floor, our cake, our menus, and as a wall decal. We gave cotton candy out at the middle of the night as our wedding favor and the monogram was on the cotton candy as well."
To start the ceremony, Hillaby, "walked down the aisle the song 'Ready for Love' by India Arie sung by a local singer accompanied by a local piano player. The ceremony was dark and lit by a plethora of candles, it was beautiful and traditional!" The ample candle light continued into the reception as well. Hillaby recalls how Atlanta's Georgia Freight Depot was, "filled with all family style tables, there were no circular tables only rectangular family style. All of the tables surrounded the dance floor so that everyone had an amazing view and access to dance all night! The cake was also center stage along with our sweet heart table. The tables were filled with flowers and candles. Candles were my must have!"
