These Brides Invited Llamas to Their Rustic Wedding in the Mountains of North Carolina

Convenient accommodations for their wedding guests was important to Kate Bunting  and Alyssa Gentry when finding a venue for their destination wedding. With that in mind, the couple chose to get, "married at the Vineyard at 37 High Holly, in Highlands, NC. We picked this location due to its scenic beauty and our ability to rent the entire venue including overnight accommodations for our guests." Once they secured their mountain venue, the couple proceeded to plan an elegant rustic wedding that celebrated the region's natural beauty. The color palette of the event was made up of varying shades of blue, white and sage. As for the floral designs, they relied heavily on, "the flowers of the mountains in the locale of the wedding. Our flowers included roses, hydrangea, eryngium, delphinium, ranunculus, maidenhair fern, baby sword ferns," the couple shares. 

Beyond elegant and rustic floral designs, the couple had some fun with their planning, including both llamas and a smoke bomb in the day. "We had a troupe of llamas in our procession from a local farm that works with the llamas as therapy animals and wedding participants! After our ceremony rainbow smoke bombs were lit as a symbol of our diversity. The video of us and the rainbow smoke were viewed over 10,000 times on Instagram!"
