The Reception

A surprise horse-drawn carriage (from the bridal party) transported the couple to their reception at Farmington Historic Home, a plantation built in 1810 from a design by Thomas Jefferson. Guests were seated behind the house at tables in the gardens, and a dance floor was constructed in a shady area for guests to enjoy during the hot afternoon. The couple served their guests Louisville barbeque fare, wine and beer.
