The Reception

Yellow roses brightened the Niki and Gautam's table positioned in the center of the main lounge at the Drake Performance and Event Center, which overlooks the Olentangy River. Instead of numbers, the couple named the 28 tables -- covered with potted pink and peach impatiens -- after significant things in their lives (such as their cat and the site of their first kiss) and included a few sentences of explanation. During dinner, which featured both Italian and Indian fare, the DJ brought a microphone around so that guests could read the meanings aloud. It was amazing, Niki shares. And it reminded us just how much we had accomplished and enjoyed together. It also let our guests learn more about us.
