The Reception

The 180 guests followed the couple to King Plow Arts Center, a converted plow factory with a multilevel, loft-like space that added urban flair to the reception. Curtains drew back revealing a grand ballroom-style dinner and dancing area, complete with lighted gauze ceiling drapes, wrought-iron arches, and copper-color tablecloths. Amber up-lights lined the walls and hundreds of votive candles added glowing luster to the brightly colored flowers. Flowers cascaded from the ceiling and exploded from centerpieces in fall’s reds, oranges, and yellows, along with kumquats, pomegranates, and champagne grapes. “We absolutely loved having our reception there,” says Jennifer. “It provided an open, contemporary feel that really suited us.”
