The Reception

Bright colors (like fuchsia, teal, turquoise, and green) and exotic centerpieces (square green boxes filled with bamboo, moss, orchids, and roses) set the tropical scene. White, pink, and lime paper lanterns were hung over the dance floor and a projected palm tree that shone against a blank wall cast a tropical light over the whole party. For the full Island effect, steel drum music filled the air, and bartenders served mai tais along with pina coladas, margaritas, and daiquiris.
