The Reception

True to the wedding's dinner-party feel, the menu was a highlight of the evening: lobster, filet mignon, and tangy lemon meringue pie instead of wedding cake. I don’t really like sweets, so, half joking, I suggested lemon meringue pie because it's my favorite, Chad explains. And to my surprise Jessica was totally on board. It was an ideal way to cap off an amazing dinner -- light and sweet, and great on an August afternoon. As the sun set, guests sat and talked under glowing paper lanterns or moved to Adirondack chairs to watch the lake. It was absolutely perfect, Jessica says.
