The Reception Decor
All of the guests sat at one long, communal table for the feast of local salmon, fresh bread, wild salad greens, and other regional specialties. Before the wedding, down the center of the white tablecloth, Robyn's mother wrote a special poem about growing old together that Robyn found on a greeting card. It says, in part, Someday when we have been/together for a very long time, /we'll turn out the lights/and slow-dance on the porch/in our bathrobes… The long dining table also was strewn down the center with flowers and petals. Place cards were attached to herb bouquets tied with twine.
