The Reception Decor

Addie and Kevin's biggest challenge: Making a traditional clambake a little more elegant. The clambake reception took place beneath a white tent strung with blue and green colored lanterns. Strings of lights wrapped in blue fabric added to the soft glow. Galvanized buckets filled with blue, green, and white blooms topped off the tables, as well as glowing blue and green votive candles. Addie and Kevin named their tables for different Newport mansions, and guests found the lobster bibs Addie's mother had handmade at each seat, with a menu tucked inside. Each place setting also boasted a small muslin bag of New England saltwater taffy stamped with the couple’s lobster logo.
