The Music
A woodwind quintet of flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and French horn—all friends with whom Dave had played at Rice—performed the processional and recessional music. The couple chose classical music for the ceremony but made their selections nontraditional, choosing works from lesser-known composers such as Taffanel, Klughardt, and Mouret. A bridesmaid played piano while a mezzo-soprano sang a selection by Handel during the ceremony and the Lord’s Prayer at the end. “The ceremony was like a concert,” the bride says proudly.
