The Location
We knew we wanted to get married in a church and have the reception at a really interesting and fun venue, Lisa says. She and Will actually had another place in mind when she went to see Mason Murer Fine Art. Art has always been kind of a theme for us—we took a 'Paint Your Guts Out' art therapy-type class early in our relationship, and we both loved it, Lisa says. She and Will also planned on displaying some works by Will’s mother (who is an artist) on easels lining the entranceway, in addition to the artwork already hanging on the walls. The couple also decided to create some artwork of their own—they created two giant collages incorporating nearly five hundred photographs of their friends and family. This project turned out to be quite a work of love, and we were still working on it two nights before the wedding! Lisa says.
