The Location

Following the ceremony, Carey and Mattson's 150 guests were transported by bus for the half-hour trip to Gruene Hall. According to Carey, You have to see Gruene Hall to understand how cool it really is. She and Mattson wanted to let its historic beauty shine through, but also planned to dress it up like it never had been before! Guests found the old wooden tables covered with new linens, and adorned with globe vases full of roses and gerbera daisies. Grapevines, white lights, and greenery accented the entryways and stage, as well as the wooden rafters above the dance floor. Lanterns glowed above the various food stations, their cords wrapped with white ribbon. Carey and Mattson's mission was a success -- Gruene Hall never looked so beautiful!
