The Gown

When she started gown shopping, Danika knew exactly what she didn't want: I didn't want to look like I was playing dress up, she says. The bride found the perfect gown in a strapless silk sheath by Essence of Australia, which also featured a tulle overlay and Swarovski crystal detailing. She wore Stuart Weitzman shoes for the ceremony, but changed into more comfortable pink flips flops for the reception (They brought the flip flops to me on a silver platter, Danika laughs). Though she wore a veil, she took it off minutes into the ceremony. It just felt out of place, she explains, so off it went!
