The Favors

To honor Don’s Ohio upbringing, the couple, the mother of the bride, and various friends made “Buckeye balls” -- a traditional Ohio confection made with peanut butter and chocolate -- to give as favors. In addition to the Buckeye balls, the couple also gave their guests fake mustaches as a salute to comedy. “Initially we were going to get personalized whoopee cushions but decided that was a little dangerous,” Elyse says. “The mustaches ended up being the hit of the night, a great ice breaker, and a great subject for photos.”
