The Couple

One day, Bonnie and Jake were sitting around watching TV and downing burgers when a scene of a couple trying to decide to date or not came on. "I made the off-hand comment, 'Are you ever going to ask me to marry you?'" Bonnie says. "Jake got up, walked across the room and opened a closet door. He rooted around for a moment and came over to me with a small box in his hand. He stood there silently as I opened it. As soon as I saw the ring, he said, 'Bonnie, will you marry me?' I cried and said, 'Of course! I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to be pushy!'"
