The Cocktail Hour

After Tarika and Michael's first kiss, guests enjoyed colorful tropical cocktails and the music of a traditional Jamaican folk band while they munched appetizers prepared by the Fish Place (Tarika's mother's restaurant, which provided all the food for the party), before sitting down for dinner. The menu featured Jamaican specialties, including ackee tarts, codfish fritters, Solomon Gundy (red herring pate), jerk chicken, curried fish, and plantain and callaloo rolls.
