The Ceremony
Once Cate converted to Judaism, the couple decided to hold a traditional Jewish ceremony. To make Cate’s family (who is not Jewish) feel included, they used an heirloom, lace tablecloth from Cate’s family as the top of their huppah, and also included family members in the reading of one of the seven blessings. During the ceremony, Cate’s sister, a violist, played for the processional, and the couple confirmed their vows by signing the Ketubah in front of all their guests.
