The Ceremony

Jill and Pete personalized nearly every aspect of their ceremony, beginning with their officiant, a close friend who included a Polish tradition for the couple to receive bread, salt, and wine on their wedding day. “The bread symbolizes the hope that the couple will never be in need; the salt is to remind the couple that their life may be difficult at times, and they must learn to cope with life's struggles; and the wine symbolizes the hope that the couple will never thirst and wish that they have a life of good health,” Jill says.
