The Ceremony

The couple incorporated the Filipino custom of draping a veil and silken cord (the yugal) around the bride and groom to symbolized two people clothed as one. During that part of the ceremony, the groom's sister performed a song she had composed for the occasion. It was perfect for the moment and truly a highlight of the ceremony, says Bernice. The bride's sister was also involved, reading from a card Kevin had written to Bernice a year before.
