The Ceremony

Colby and Roger said I do in a grassy area to the side of a pavilion walkway that sat at one end of a small lake. Because it was August and sunny, and to set the feel of a garden tea party, we offered each female guest a white paper parasol tied with a ribbon in our theme colors, says Colby. Before the couple read vows they had written for each other, Colby’s younger sister sang Pie Jesu from Requiem. After the ceremony the guests were encouraged to explore the gardens, while the wedding party sat for pictures. A map was printed in the back of the wedding program to help guest find their way around the grounds.
