The Ceremony

As for the planning, Jennifer says, It took more effort than we expected, but it was worth it. The couple exchanged vows in a traditional Jewish ceremony under a huppah made from a family tallis (prayer shawl) and decorated with flowers, in a spot framed by towering cottonwoods and rustling willows. Jennifer's family rabbi flew in from New York to perform the very personalized ceremony. We each spoke some personal words about each other, said Jennifer, and we had family and friends read our own version of the traditional seven blessings. Jennifer and Michale also wrote the text for their own ketubah, the Jewish marriage contract.
