The Ceremony

During the traditional Lutheran ceremony, junior groomsmen carried Waterford crystal bells and handed them to the bride and groom, who then rang the bells in remembrance of loved ones who could not be at the wedding. The couple gave the bells to their mothers as a sentimental present. Once the ceremony was over, the couple recessed to Mendelssohn’s “The Wedding March,” played by a string trio.
