The Ceremony

Amber and Amit knew they’d need a multiday event for a celebration that would include both a Hindu and a Christian ceremony. They chose Memorial Day weekend to give their guests an extra day for relaxing or traveling. And luckily, they had plenty of help in planning the events -- Amit’s mother took charge of the Hindu wedding, while Amber handled the Western ceremony and reception. “While some brides get overwhelmed by all the minutiae involved in wedding planning, I relished it!” she says.
