The Ceremony

For the ceremony, Valerie and Benjamin adorned the hacienda's makeshift altar with stargazer lilies and burgundy ranunculus and lined the grand staircase with a garland of ivy and roses.The ceremony was written entirely by Valerie and Benjamin. We wanted it to reflect our beliefs and values, so it focused on friendship, family, respect, and joy instead of a specific religion, the bride says of the service.
