The Ceremony

The couple exchanged vows in the Dahlgren Chapel of the Sacred Heart, located smack-dab in the center of the university campus. Ginger and Alex personalized the loving ceremony by writing their own vows and penning a prayer that they recited in unison after exchanging the rings. Music also played a significant role in the ceremony: A good friend of the both the bride and groom sang several of the chosen selections, and the groom's uncle played guitar and sang The Beatles' Here Comes the Sun during the communion. At the conclusion of the ceremony, all the guests sang Come and Be Light -- very upbeat and joyous, according to the bride.
