The Ceremony

The Catholic ceremony in the chapel at St. John’s Golf and & Conference Center in Plymouth followed the couple’s family traditions but was also spontaneous and fresh. “Our vows were made up on the spot,” Kate says. “They were very pure and heartfelt, absolutely in the moment.” There was only one minor glitch, which was handled with aplomb. “During the wedding, our microphones crossed with the microphones in the hall and we heard the band’s sound check downstairs,” the bride laughs. “It was actually really funny at the time -- the only thing that we could do was laugh as the ceremony pianist ran out to try to get them to change their frequency.”
