The Ceremony

Ashley and Ben exchanged vows in the Kessler Park United Methodist Church, which was spacious enough to hold their 350 guests but still felt quaint and intimate. The father of the bride wrote the couple’s vows, incorporating scripture verses from the books of Ruth and Ephesians. “Our vows really emphasized how sacred the covenant of marriage is and how marriage is a picture of how Christ loves the church,” Ashley explains. “It was so meaningful.” The ceremony was also filled with song, with friends of the family performing as soloists throughout the service.
