The Centerpieces

The reception took place in the Rio Grande Ballroom, which features columns and a ceiling swathed in sheer white fabric. The room worked perfectly with the wedding’s aesthetic. Being that the wedding was in January, I couldn't count on the weather, but I wanted an elegant tent-like atmosphere with soft lighting and a whimsical feel, the bride says. The backlit fabric gave the room the impression of a starry night. Tables were topped with centerpieces that varied in height and composition, from a large square vase with submerged pink orchids to low round arrangements of sugar-glazed fruits.
