The Cake

The wedding cake was a family affair -- Cari designed the confection, and her grandmother baked it. The five-tiered cake was covered with champagne buttercream frosting, and every other tier was decorated with handmade gum-paste hydrangeas, which were made with lighter colors at the top ranging to deep rusts at the bottom.
