The Cake

No surprise here: pastry chef Haines made their wedding cake, which featured five round tiers iced in Italian meringue buttercream. Handmade gum paste dogwood flowers and leaves grew like vines up the cake, and the topper was a handmade birdcage decorated with gum paste flowers and holding two gum paste doves perched on a swing inside. The cake was half almond with raspberry white chocolate filling, while the other half was chocolate chip with ganache filling.
