The Cake

We decided to do this on a grand scale and make it the centerpiece of the reception, Melissa says of their Halloween-inspired confection. The cake was a three-tier The Nightmare Before Christmas wedding cake with characters from the movie, pumpkins, and a stone tower. The bride and groom were represented by Jack and Sally (from the movie). It had tombstones and each had someone's name from the bridal party, including us. It even had a guillotine! Melissa says. At the reception site the couple surrounded the cake on its own table with tiny pumpkin jack-o'-lanterns that they carved out the night before, various candles, and twisted willow branches.
