“I wanted the cake to have some sort of surprising element,” Talia says, so while the outside was covered in white fondant with pink and red circles, the inside was vibrant red velvet with cannoli filling. “Not only did it taste wonderful, it gave everyone a burst of color when we cut into the cake,” she adds.
