The Cake

The seated dinner featured a choice of chicken Birmingham or tournedos of beef. The little flower girl, who everyone had been trying to coax a smile out of all day, finally flashed a grin when the waiter presented her with a plate of chicken strips. That smile certainly widened when she saw that dessert was not just the wedding cake, but a buffet of many other cakes, chocolate-dipped fruits, caramel apples, and sweet creme brulee. The wedding cake itself featured four square tiers of white cake layered with chocolate, vanilla, and fresh raspberries with Bavarian cream.
