After Sunday brunch and a museum visit, George took Teresa back to their apartment. “I opened the door and stopped dead in my tracks,” she recalls. “There were rose petals and candles everywhere, champagne, and a slideshow playing on the TV with pictures of us over the past three years.” George then got down on one knee and proposed.

The Couple
The five-tiered chocolate cake had raspberry filling and ivory-colored buttercream frosting. It was adorned with autumn-colored roses and calla lilies cascading down from the top.
The large ornate church didn’t require much decor. The couple added two flower arrangements at the altar and a few blooms on the first pews.
The groom wore a white mini calla lily, and his eight groomsmen wore stephanotis blossoms.
The cocktail hour was held in the restaurant’s outdoor garden, where white tables and chairs were accented with candles and autumn-colored rose petals. Tea lamps strung from the trees lit up as the sun set.
Teresa’s eight bridesmaids all wore pink silk Vera Wang dresses. The matron of honor, Teresa’s sister, wore a V-neck mermaid-style dress with dark pink back lacing, while the maids wore strapless dresses with corset details and rose grosgrain belts.
Teresa is Indian, so the couple held a traditional Indian ceremony called the Mylanchi Ideel at an Indian restaurant in Westchester the night before the wedding. On the wedding day, George tied a traditional wedding chain around his bride’s neck and presented her with a wedding sari.
The couple’s first dance was to “When You Say Nothing at All” by Ronan Keating and was sung by George’s brother Noel.
