After a brief chance meeting on the corner of 23rd and 5th Avenue in Manhattan one day, Tasha and Micah had the fortune of running into each other again while at an industry party. Unbeknownst to them during their first meeting, the two were working for friendly competing companies -- “We considered the meeting kismet,” Tasha says. On their first date, the two spent the entire day together shooting pool, drinking coffee, and strolling through the West Village. The Bride Tasha Sakhrani, 27, graphic designer The Groom Micah Monserrat, 28, art director They dated for nearly six years before they took their relationship to the next level. When that moment came, it was early before work one morning while the two were at home together. Just as Tasha had finished getting ready for work, Micah dropped to one knee and proposed. “What seemed like an ordinary day turned out to be life-changing!” Tasha says.

The couple ordered a mouthwatering chocolate cake with chocolate fudge filling and cheesecake confection. The cake was decorated with cherry blossoms in pink and chocolate brown colors.
Tasha wore champagne-hued heels accented with a white and brown rhinestone in the center.
The couple exchanged vows in a historic church. They incorporated the Filipino traditions of the cord and the veil, as well as the unity candle lighting.
Tasha carried a cluster of large pink peonies with peach and pink spray roses and accents of freesia. Her vibrantly colored bouquet provided a burst of color against her simple ivory gown.
Because the bride and groom are both graphic designers, they took the stationery into their own hands. For the escort cards, they built a ribbon seating board and put their design skills to work using white escort cards with a pink design.
Tasha’s bridesmaids wore champagne gold gowns by Vera Wang. They accessorized with gold sandals of their choice and wore small, champagne and pink-colored, feather flower hairpieces.
