When Tara first met Greg through a friend at church, she thought he seemed too perfect. But their mutual friend saw a connection and even though Greg lived out of town, he arranged a 4th of July barbeque and asked them both to come. The fireworks weren’t the only sparks flying that night. The two shared a love for kids, travel, and faith. “In that moment I felt my whole world change,” says Tara. Greg ended up moving to North Carolina, but Tara had just accepted a teaching job in Mexico. The two made it work, visiting when they could. Tara eventually returned home and had only been back for a few months when Greg proposed on a frost-covered mountain trail over Thanksgiving break.
