Sweet Southern Bohemian Wedding at Ponce City Market
Sophie Woodward (23 and a graphic designer) and Harrison Nevel (24 and a content creator) were stuck between wanting an intimate ceremony and a big reception. In they end, they planned a celebration that combined the best of both worlds, compiling two guest lists for their event at Ponce City Market. The pair exchanged vows in front of a select group of family and friends in the morning, then hosted a larger afternoon party.
Sophie combined two separates to make her dream dress, sewing buttons from her mom’s wedding gown into the back of the lace skirt.
Sophie and Harrison served charcuterie, chicken skewers, shrimp bites and cookies during their cocktail-style reception. A collection of brass candlesticks and crystal vases found at local antique stores brought a bohemian flair to the industrial space. Gold balloon letters spelled out the wedding hashtag behind the newlyweds’ wicker peacock chairs. A raspberry and white chocolate cake was sliced up for dessert.
Sophie and her crew carried cheery bunches of sunflowers, roses and ranunculus.
